London Baby!

Yo! So, as you know we stayed over the night before at Stu's parents house and yesterday Mike ( stu's dad ) droveeee us like the speed of lightning to the train station LOL! because this stuart was trying to set up his computer and we were almost late! luckily Mike drove as fast as he could, speeding even. HAHAHA! .

Lukily we made it in time with 15 mins to spare. and we got toasts and bread/sweet for the train ride.

It was my first time taking 1st class, and it was just awesome! :). Free wifi, complimentary drinks and snacks, and you could order anything on the menu too ( but this you have to pay ) . lol.

Once we reached kings cross station we went to the toilet ( had to pay 30pence to get through the toilet entrance barrier! ) lol!

We then went to 'i can't remember where' but the place where he was supposed to have his meeting and I sat and waited for him at a Mcdonalds. I had a Grilled Chicken Salad in Mcdonalds :)

When he came back, we went to Oxford street to look around as I wanted to get something for his parents. Our initial idea was to go to another train station called Holland.. Something where there is a Singapore Chinese Restaurant lol. But whilst walking along Oxford Street we saw a Singaporean/Malaysian eatery and had a look. We decided to come back here to eat instead. I also saw a shop called Wasabi and they sold sushi and other japanese food! I took a tray and put 6 pieces of sushi in! lol! 2 salmon, 2 octopus and 2 mayo crabmeat. it was not bad! haha. We continued walking and saw Whittard of Chelsea! I remember buying this set of coffee for his dad for Christmas last year. and one of presents for Stu's birthady was a box of coffee too ( different from his dad ). And they loved it so much. So we went in and they had samples to try as well. I bought a tin of cranberry and erm.. I can't remember now. LOL. But it was instant tea. YOu could have it hot or cold. It's in powder form.

After that we went to some other station to see the St Paul's Church, took some photos and walked to the Bank station to see the Bank of England! It is the bank that deals with the whole world's $$$ ££££ !!!!!!!

I had Singapore Fried Vermicilli and he had Beef Rendang with rice. We also shared a plate of Satay! Yumz!!!

As for drinks I had teh tarik!! And he had hot lemon tea! :) Because I went up to order and they brought the food to us. When the drinks came it was amazing how the person knew that I was the one who wanted Teh Tarik LOL.. or maybe not. HAHAHA!!

After that we had take away as well. We ordered 2 Hainanese Chicken Rice and 1 Singapore Fried Vermicilli. 1 Chicken Rice was for us the next day, whilst 1 chicken rice and 1 singapore vermicilli for his parents :) .

After that we were changing trains to get to the railway. My legs were killing me. We checked the board and it said that our train was on platform 0. We thought.. Hmmm.. The thing is not out yet.... but when we asked it was in fact platform 0 lol!

We hurried ourselves and Stu almost got us to board the wrong train at platform 1! Then I was like " This is platform 1!!! " and we hurried to the one at the right which said platform 0 and he re-confirmed with the captain and we hurried in to the cabin, yes we finally made it for our 8pm train back to Darlington :) .

When we went to London, we shared the table with another couple opposite us. But this time round there wasn't much people around and we had the whole table to ourselves hahaha. But, the seats opposite us, were actually also reserved like us. That meant that there was supposed to be 2 people sitting opposite us. Stuart checked the reserved ticket and it said that they were supposed to drop off at York station. But when the train left, nope... no one. lol! Oh well.

Charged my Itouch and was playing Wedding Dash the whole time for 3hours. lol! And Stu was reading news on the laptop.

When we reached Darlington station, Stu's dad was waiting for us in the car. I think it was about 11pm already. He drove us back Thanks Mike! :)

Gave him the tea and food, and he wanted to try a bit and I dished out some chicken rice and vermicilli for him and re-heated it in the microwave. He loved it haha. Unfortunately, his mum was asleep already.

This morning, I heard that his parents ate more of the food lol. Anyway I had half of the chicken rice I shared with Stu. yum yum!! His other half is still in the fridge because he has an operation later on today, and he's not supposed to have anything to eat or drink except water. And again his dad will be driving us to the hospital and back later. Bless him x :)

Took lots of photos, and I will upload them when I'm free. LOL. ( I wonder when... ) .. Because I've still got lots of uni work on hand to do!!!

Tata for now :) x

Baby's New Hairstyle

So we're going to London tomorrow as he has to attend a meeting, thus he went to Tony and Guys today for a haircut. From the previous post, you can see that he brought those 2 pictures to the hairdressers and this is the result. lol! It's more to the shorter fringe kind, because his fringe was quite short in the first place. All that's left is for him to grow his fringe out and it'll be perfect. But for now, it's still perfect! Because I can help him style it! hahaha! His hair has more volume now, after putting the magic powder in his hair.

This was before I styled it for him though.

His back

His side

Top

And front :)

Nice? haha.

Ok we're going to his parents house now. I miss them! *hearts*

Bye!! :)

Random Blabber

Ok, so I was going to finish up my production file as well by yesterday, so that I could submit it all today.

Datelines

Audio CD + Cue Sheet - 4 May 2011

Production File - 11 May 2011

Body, Media and Culture Essay - 19 May 2011

Evaluation - I don't know when LOL

Anyway so I've submitted my Audio CD and cue sheet today instead of tomorrow, as I'll be going to London with Stuart on a first class train tomorrow. It would have cost us a few hundred pounds but because his dad has some points thing so we paid nothing! It's absolutely free! hehehe! Thanks Mike! :D

So excited! I've not sat on a first class train before! LOL!
I'm just going to relax today, though I shouldn't really. And start on the rest of my production file on Thursday onwards. And hopefully I'll be able to finish it by this weekend.

So anyway, the purpose of tomorrow's trip to London is soely because Stuart has a meeting there. Thus, he'll leave me there for a good few hours. I plan to do some research on where I can go and a Singapore Chinese Restaurant we can go!!!! And, where to get bubble tea and stuff like that HEHEHEHEHEHEHE :P

Oh, and because he has a meeting in London tomorrow, and his hair is just really long and messy ( all because I wouldn't allow him to cut it LOL ), he has gone to Tony and Guy to cut his hair! hahaha, I found some hairstyles for him and finally we were in between these two hairstyles.

He printed these 2 out to show the hairdresser that he wants something in between these two, though it kind of looks the same. HAHA! :P
Can't wait for him to come back !!!! He'll be so handsome I reckon! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

And there's like tons of photos I didn't upload since last year and this year, all because I just don't have the time. I'll upload them in June as that's when I'll be done with uni, and just waiting for graduation in July. :)

on 1 April we went to Stuart's cousin's wedding, both at the church and the reception dinner. :) It was awesome! It's raelly different from Singapore's. You don't actually need to wear soooooo formal like the ones in Singapore.

Took a family photo with Stuart's whole family, his mum, dad, sister and him. LOL, at first when they were like going to take a family photo, I kind of stepped away. Then his parents were like, saying I am part of the family and to take this photo with them, awww I was so touched! hahaha!
And, I haven't asked her for the photos yet, but I will soon.

Anyways, this was what I wore.

Stuart is on his way back now, and I'll take a picture of his new hairstyle and update you guys :)

For now, I got to shower and head to his parents house to stay the night as we can wake up half an hour later at 8.30 instead of 8am? lol! That's what he said.

He's also going for a surgery on Thursday, so we would have to stay at his parents house again tomorrow night I think.

Ok that's all Bye :)

Osama Bin Laden is DEAD!

I always wake up to the radio alarm clock ( which plays the radio instead of your usual ring ring ring. lol )

This morning, the radio announced that Osama ( I have no idea why whenever I want to type Osama, I type Obama first before realising my mistake. Seriously! =.= )

Anyway, yes my friends, Osama Bin Laden is dead if you haven't heard about it yet.
I then watched the special section of the news on television talking about his death.

As you all know, Osama has been a wanted man since the 9/11, where planes flew into the World Trade Centre in New York. It has been 10 years since he has been finally caught and apprently killed by the US forces.

Any coincidence that Hitler died on 1 May 1945, and Osama on 1 May 2011? LOL, nah I'm sure not.

A little background about Osama if you don't already know.
He formed the group called Al-Qaeda. In English, it means "the base" in 1988.

"Here is a timeline of events from the group's creation through to the death of Osama bin Laden.

:: 1991: Osama bin Laden moves to Sudan and makes the country al-Qaeda's base. Training camps are set up and preparations made for jihad.

Bin Laden - whose aliases included the Prince, the Emir, Abu Abdallah, Mujahid Shaykh, Hajj, and the Director - stayed in the African country for five years and was believed to have begun a search for nuclear material.

:: 1993: Bin Laden linked by the US to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Centre which killed six people and injured 1,000 more.

:: 1996: The US identifies bin Laden as the prime suspect in the bombing of the Khobar Towers military complex in Saudi Arabia in which 19 US servicemen are killed.

:: October 12 1996: Bin Laden formalises his campaign against America by issuing a declaration of jihad, or holy war, calling on muslims to kill US soldiers, civilians and allies.

:: August 1998: The first acknowledged mass-casualty al-Qaeda attack takes place at the US Embassy in Kenya. A total of 219 people are killed.
A pick-up truck packed with explosives blows up outside the four-storey building in the heart of the capital Nairobi.

Minutes later, 12 people are killed when another bomb shatters the US Embassy in Dar es Salaam in neighbouring Tanzania.

About 5,000 people are injured in the two blasts.

:: October 2000: A suicide attack on the USS Cole in Yemen blows a 40sq ft hole in the ship's hull, killing 17 sailors and injuring 39.

:: September 11 2001: Bin Laden's organisation again uses operatives willing to die - hijacking passenger jets and flying them into the World Trade Centre in New York.

The attacks on New York and the Pentagon, as well as the hijacked plane that crashes into a field in Pennsylvania, claim nearly 3,000 lives - the world's worst act of terrorism.

:: December 2001: An attempted suicide attack on a Paris to Miami airliner by London-born Richard Reid, an al-Qaeda sympathiser, is thwarted after he is overpowered by passengers as he tries to ignite explosives in his shoe. He was later jailed for life by an American court.

One hits Paddy's Irish Bar in the island's Kuta tourist district and the second explodes in a van outside the Sari nightclub in the same area.

The al-Qaeda-linked terror group Jemaah Islamiyah was blamed for the Bali attacks.

:: November 28 2002: A vehicle packed with explosives ploughs into the Paradise Hotel near the port of Mombasa in Kenya, killing 11 Kenyans and three Israeli tourists.

In a simultaneous attack, two shoulder-launched missiles are fired at an Israeli passenger plane nearby, but narrowly miss the aircraft.

Let me elaborate more on what I heard over the news and how the US forces found him in Parkistan. They spent time tracking a courier all the way to Parkistan and found this area near a military camp. The area had very little windows and was sort of 'covered', almost a likely place that someone like Osama would hide.

With permission and orders from President Obama himself, the US forces then flew in several helicopters above the town and explosions and gunshots rocked the air. Now for the number of casualities, I'm sorry if I left any out, because I didn't watch the whole section of the news entirely. It was said that 3 people were dead.
- A lady who was acting as a human shield to protect Osama.
- Osama Bin Laden's son
- Osama Bin Laden himself.

Osama bin Laden is killed in Abbottabad, Pakistan, and thus ends the 10 year search/hunt for this Al Qaeda leader.

The news was showing the people of USA, including army people all out on the streets waving their flags for the celebration of the death of Osama Bin Laden.

People were so happy with Obama that they wanted to extend his presidency status for another 4 more years too.

Obama once said he wanted Osama captured dead or alive!
Well I guess, he's dead now!

The world's most wanted terrorist is dead now!

OH and if you were wondering where's his body, he's in the sea now.

Tell Me Why

I came across someone's blog and saw this video!

I think it's so amazing that they're from China and though their pronounciation isn't really accurate but on a whole it's great.

Also, for their age, their english is alot better than those older than them. ( Though they might just only know the words for this song, and not English on a whole? LOL! ) Ok, no offence intended :P

Anyway, that aside, Tuart went to the gym in the morning and I'll have to try and finish up my cue sheet and production file by Monday, so i can submit it all in on Tuesday, then I'll be done with my dissertation. It's due in on Wednesday, but I'll be going to London for a day with Tuart, he has a meeting there and I'll be going round shopping myself and later we'll meet up and I'm so going to a Singaporean Chinese restaurant to eat! If I can even find it. Mum told me to go to Water Bay or something, something Bay. I can't remember LOL.

But anyways hopefully I get my dissertation done by Monday night. And when I'm back from London on Wednesday night, I'll start my essay on Thursday! Then, I'll just have to finish it and also wait for my playback session, evaluation session, and then do an evaluation essay and I'll be done for the year! Graduation in July! Roll on! :D xxxxxxxxxxxxx
