Yo! So, as you know we stayed over the night before at Stu's parents house and yesterday Mike ( stu's dad ) droveeee us like the speed of lightning to the train station LOL! because this stuart was trying to set up his computer and we were almost late! luckily Mike drove as fast as he could, speeding even. HAHAHA! .
Lukily we made it in time with 15 mins to spare. and we got toasts and bread/sweet for the train ride.
It was my first time taking 1st class, and it was just awesome! :). Free wifi, complimentary drinks and snacks, and you could order anything on the menu too ( but this you have to pay ) . lol.
Once we reached kings cross station we went to the toilet ( had to pay 30pence to get through the toilet entrance barrier! ) lol!
We then went to 'i can't remember where' but the place where he was supposed to have his meeting and I sat and waited for him at a Mcdonalds. I had a Grilled Chicken Salad in Mcdonalds :)
When he came back, we went to Oxford street to look around as I wanted to get something for his parents. Our initial idea was to go to another train station called Holland.. Something where there is a Singapore Chinese Restaurant lol. But whilst walking along Oxford Street we saw a Singaporean/Malaysian eatery and had a look. We decided to come back here to eat instead. I also saw a shop called Wasabi and they sold sushi and other japanese food! I took a tray and put 6 pieces of sushi in! lol! 2 salmon, 2 octopus and 2 mayo crabmeat. it was not bad! haha. We continued walking and saw Whittard of Chelsea! I remember buying this set of coffee for his dad for Christmas last year. and one of presents for Stu's birthady was a box of coffee too ( different from his dad ). And they loved it so much. So we went in and they had samples to try as well. I bought a tin of cranberry and erm.. I can't remember now. LOL. But it was instant tea. YOu could have it hot or cold. It's in powder form.
After that we went to some other station to see the St Paul's Church, took some photos and walked to the Bank station to see the Bank of England! It is the bank that deals with the whole world's $$$ ££££ !!!!!!!
I had Singapore Fried Vermicilli and he had Beef Rendang with rice. We also shared a plate of Satay! Yumz!!!
As for drinks I had teh tarik!! And he had hot lemon tea! :) Because I went up to order and they brought the food to us. When the drinks came it was amazing how the person knew that I was the one who wanted Teh Tarik LOL.. or maybe not. HAHAHA!!
After that we had take away as well. We ordered 2 Hainanese Chicken Rice and 1 Singapore Fried Vermicilli. 1 Chicken Rice was for us the next day, whilst 1 chicken rice and 1 singapore vermicilli for his parents :) .
After that we were changing trains to get to the railway. My legs were killing me. We checked the board and it said that our train was on platform 0. We thought.. Hmmm.. The thing is not out yet.... but when we asked it was in fact platform 0 lol!
We hurried ourselves and Stu almost got us to board the wrong train at platform 1! Then I was like " This is platform 1!!! " and we hurried to the one at the right which said platform 0 and he re-confirmed with the captain and we hurried in to the cabin, yes we finally made it for our 8pm train back to Darlington :) .
When we went to London, we shared the table with another couple opposite us. But this time round there wasn't much people around and we had the whole table to ourselves hahaha. But, the seats opposite us, were actually also reserved like us. That meant that there was supposed to be 2 people sitting opposite us. Stuart checked the reserved ticket and it said that they were supposed to drop off at York station. But when the train left, nope... no one. lol! Oh well.
Charged my Itouch and was playing Wedding Dash the whole time for 3hours. lol! And Stu was reading news on the laptop.
When we reached Darlington station, Stu's dad was waiting for us in the car. I think it was about 11pm already. He drove us back Thanks Mike! :)
Gave him the tea and food, and he wanted to try a bit and I dished out some chicken rice and vermicilli for him and re-heated it in the microwave. He loved it haha. Unfortunately, his mum was asleep already.
This morning, I heard that his parents ate more of the food lol. Anyway I had half of the chicken rice I shared with Stu. yum yum!! His other half is still in the fridge because he has an operation later on today, and he's not supposed to have anything to eat or drink except water. And again his dad will be driving us to the hospital and back later. Bless him x :)
Took lots of photos, and I will upload them when I'm free. LOL. ( I wonder when... ) .. Because I've still got lots of uni work on hand to do!!!
Tata for now :) x
